LOCAL RULES AND DEFINITIONS
- OBSTRUCTIONS
When playing Hole 8, the pump station behind Hole 9 tee box is an immovable obstruction. Free relief is permitted from this obstruction.
- BALL DROPS
Holes 3 and 7 have designated drop areas located in front of the Red Teeing Ground. It is the player’s option to use the drop area when playing under Rule 26 (Water Hazards).
- WATER HAZARDS
Lateral Hazards are defined by red stakes and/or red lines. Absent the red markings, the hazard is defined by the high water mark or the break in the land slope, whichever is higher.
Water Hazards are defined by yellow stakes and/or yellow lines. Absent the yellow markings, the hazard is defined by the high water mark or the break in the land slope, whichever is higher.
- DEFINING BOUNDS AND MARGINS
The course is defined by white stakes and/or lines. Absent the markings, the ball is in play. Except when a ball has come to rest in/on known private property, it is deemed to be Out of Bounds.
The roadway to the right of Hole 2 defines Out of Bounds. Fence lines to the right of Holes 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 are Out of Bounds. The area left of the water hazard on Hole 6 is Out of Bounds.
Play is restricted in all Environmentally Protected Areas. Environmentally Protected Areas are identified with Green paint on top portion of Red, Yellow or White Stakes. Absent the markings, the Environmentally Protected Areas are: left of the cart path inside of 100 yards on hole 1; left of the fairway on hole 2; in front of the tee box on hole 3; right of the cart path of hole 4; right of cart path on hole 17; and left of the tee box on hole 18.
- WASTE AREAS
A ball coming to rest in the waste areas on the right side of hole 5, and left side of holes 11, & 12 may, without penalty, be lifted, cleaned, and placed within 12 inches of the original position. The ball must be played from the waste area. Grounding of the club is permissible.
- GROUND UNDER REPAIR
Ground under repair will be marked with white lines. Absent markings to this effect, ground under repair is any ground that has been disturbed from its normal appearance due to work by maintenance personnel. A player asking for relief under this condition should seek the concurrence of his fellow players.
Debris piled for removal. It is considered that all debris is a movable obstruction and piled for removal at some future date. Therefore, relief is appropriate in accordance with rule 24-1.
Felled, or downed trees. Fallen trees are considered to be obstructions. So, too, are felled trees. The debris associated with the work may be GUR or obstructions as the player deems applicable, and with the concurrence of his fellow players.
